Collection Description:

This collection is composed by 10 symbolic pieces and they project the culmination of a healing process during one of the most significant stages in the artist's life.

Has a representative meaning, It reflects a crucial moment and evokes the different seasons through which she has lived and emotionally managed the process. Each artwork tells the story of the feelings, learning and growth she has gained, inviting us to develop our own interpretation skills to delve into and identify oneself with each one of them.

As its is characteristic of her marked style, Carla Gia uses gestural techniques, always deliberate and intuitive, combining brushstrokes lines and applications with movements which range from soft to strong.

The spirit of this collection refers to how, through the pain of a powerful disappointment, the artist break with everything and experiences the different cycles following that event. How using faith, courage, perseverance, honesty and love, it is possible to overcome any setback.

Each piece reflects the transformative journey of a long period, further reaffirming her genuine and solid belief in the stoic philosophy "Omnia Causa Fiunt"(everything happens for a reason) following the consistent line of her concept of balance between opposites.

A unique way to encourage the viewer to understand the obstacle as part of the path and consolidate the values obtained from it.

"Ethereal" is a term that originates from the Greek word "aitherios," referring to the purest and clearest region of the sky where the gods reside in classical mythology. In contemporary use, "ethereal" describes something extremely delicate and light, in a way that seems too perfect for this world.

Carla Gía's "Ethereal" collection encapsulates this quest for utopia. Comprising five unique pieces, this series invites the viewer on an introspective journey toward fulfillment through abrupt forms and abstract elements floating on the canvas. Each painting is a visual representation of unmistakable thoughts and emotions, reflecting the intrinsic duality of life and the human being.

The black and white strokes symbolize the coexistence of opposites, the internal struggle, and external harmony. The bold forms and contrasts inspire serenity, reminding us of the extraordinary harmony that resides in the everyday.
